Program Description

To develop the necessary infrastructure and faculty expertise to carry out research projects that identify and solve problems within tribal and American Indian communities, and offer students an improved research experience in preparation for career or higher education opportunities in the food, agricultural, natural resource sciences and human sciences.

Program Requirements

Only accredited 1994 Land-Grant Institution as authorized by Congress are eligible.

Application Process

There is an annual competitive peer reviewed grant opportunity where eligible 1994s can apply to receive funding. 1994 institutions must partner with 1862, 1890 universities, ARS research stations, non-land grant colleges of agriculture and Mcintire Stennis Schools of Forestry.

Please Note: Recipients must file annual progress and financial reports.
