Program Description

The Summer Food Service program provides free, nutritious meals and snacks to help Alaska children in low-income areas get the nutrition they need to learn, play, and grow, throughout the summer months when they are out of school.

Program Requirements

For this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of Alaska.

In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:

Household Size* Maximum Income Level (Per Year)
1 $28,083
2 $38,073
3 $48,063
4 $58,053
5 $68,043
6 $78,033
7 $88,023
8 $98,013

*For households with more than eight people, add $9,990 per additional person. Always check with the appropriate managing agency to ensure the most accurate guidelines.
