Program Description

Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance Traumatic Injury Protection (TSGLI) is a rider under Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance (SGLI). It provides insurance payments of up to $100,000 to members who suffer certain serious traumatic injuries in service.

Program Requirements

All service members who have SGLI coverage are automatically covered by TSGLI.

Application Process

TSGLI coverage is automatic with SGLI coverage. To apply to receive a TSGLI benefit payment, complete SGLV 8600, “Application for TSLGI Benefits.”
