Program Description

The Arkansas School Breakfast and Lunch Program is available to public and private nonprofit schools and residential childcare institutions serving children of high school age and younger. Residential childcare institutions must be licensed and operated principally for the care of children. They include homes for the physically, mentally or emotionally impaired, group homes, temporary shelters, orphanages, and juvenile detention centers.

Program Requirements

In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of Arkansas and a parent or primary caregiver responsible for a child(ren) who attends school (high school or under).

In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:

2 $30,451
3 $38,443
4 $46,435
5 $54,427
6 $62,419
7 $70,411
8 $78,403

*For households with more than eight people, add $7,992 per additional person. Always check with the appropriate managing agency to ensure the most accurate guidelines.
