Indian Health Service (IHS) Pre-Graduate Scholarship Program provides financial aid to qualified American Indian and Alaska Native undergraduate students.
In order to be a recipient of this benefit program, you must be members or descendents of federally recognized, state-recognized or terminated Tribes enrolled in courses leading to a bachelor’s degree in specific pre-professional areas. These pre-professional areas allow for application to a postgraduate health professions program such as medicine, dentistry, podiatry, optometry and others as deemed appropriate – based on IHS health professions needs.
In addition, you must meet certain eligibility requirements, which can be found on the IHS Scholarship Program “Eligibility Requirements” page.
To begin the application process, please visit the IHS Scholarship Program “Apply Now” page.
