Program Description
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides Federal grants to States for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.
Program Requirements
For this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of Georgia. Pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 are eligible. They must be individually determined to be at “nutritional risk” by a health professional.
In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:
