Program Description

The Alaska Weatherization Assistance Program provides funding to insulate the dwellings of low-income persons, particularly the elderly, persons with disabilities, families with children, high residential energy users, and households with a high energy burden, in order to conserve needed energy and to aid those persons least able to afford higher utility costs.

Program Requirements

In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of Alaska. Please contact your local provider for additional information.

In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:

Household Size* Maximum Income Level (Per Year)
1 $15,180
2 $20,580
3 $25,980
4 $31,380
5 $36,780
6 $42,180
7 $47,580
8 $52,980

*For households with more than eight people, add $5,400 per additional person. Always check with the appropriate managing agency to ensure the most accurate guidelines.
