Program Description
Idaho offers the Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) so your childreninfants to teensmay qualify for health insurance at no cost to you. SCHIP provides insurance to working and non-working families. It allows you-parents, grandparents, and guardians-to get the health insurance coverage your children need and deserve.
Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program a child must be a resident of Idaho, under 19 years of age, not covered by health insurance (including Medicaid), and a U.S. national, citizen, legal alien, or permanent resident.
In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:
