Program Description
The Federal-State Unemployment Insurance Program provides unemployment benefits to eligible workers who are unemployed through no fault of their own (as determined under Colorado law, and meet other eligibility requirements of Colorado law).
- Unemployment insurance (UI) payments (benefits) are intended to provide temporary financial assistance to unemployed workers who meet the requirements of Colorado law.
- Colorado administers a separate unemployment insurance program within guidelines established by Federal law.
Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of Colorado and have earned at least $2,500 during the standard base period (the first four of the last five completed calendar quarters before the start date of your claim). You must have lost your job through no fault of your own and you must also be able to work and be available for work each week that you are collecting benefits.
