The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides Federal grants to States for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk. The Oregon WIC Program is administered by the Oregon Health Authority.
For this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of Oregon. Pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 are eligible. They must be individually determined to be at “nutritional risk” by a health professional.
In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:
|Household Size*||Maximum Income Level (Per Year)|
To see if you are eligible for WIC, you may also use the WIC Prescreening Tool.
This Prescreening Tool is not an application for WIC. To apply for WIC benefits, you must make an appointment at your local WIC agency.
To apply for WIC, contact the local WIC agency nearest you to schedule an appointment.
