Program Description

Nevada Check Up is the state of Nevada’s Children’s Health Insurance Program. It provides low-cost, comprehensive health care coverage to low income, uninsured children 0-19 years of age who are not covered by private insurance or Medicaid.

The Nevada Check Up program does not require the participants to pay co-payments for any services provided. The program does, however, charge quarterly premiums to the family. The premium is determined by family size and income.

Program Requirements

In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of Nevada, under 19 years of age, not covered by health insurance within the past six months (including Medicaid), and a U.S. national, citizen, legal alien, or permanent resident.

In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:

Household Size* Maximum Income Level (Per Year)

*For households with more than eight people, add $8,360 per additional person. Always check with the appropriate managing agency to ensure the most accurate guidelines.
