Program Description

The Idaho Weatherization Assistance Program is the nation’s largest residential energy efficiency program. Its mission is to insulate the dwellings of low-income persons, particularly the elderly, persons with disabilities, families with children, high residential energy users, and households with a high energy burden, in order to conserve needed energy and to aid those persons least able to afford higher utility costs.

Program Requirements

In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of Idaho.

In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:

1 $24,280
2 $32,920
3 $41,560
4 $50,200
5 $58,840
6 $67,480
7 $76,120
8 $84,760

*For households with more than eight people, add $8,640 per additional person. Always check with the appropriate managing agency to ensure the most accurate guidelines.

If you receive Supplemental Security Income or Aid to Families with Dependent Children, you are automatically eligible to receive weatherization services.

Prospective applicants should locate and contact their nearest local community action partnership agency by visiting the Contact Us page or by calling the Idaho Careline at 2-1-1.
