Program Description
To establish Extension offices on Indian reservations that provide science-based knowledge to increase reservation farm productivity, engage youth and promote a healthier, more prosperous knowledge empowered community.
Program Requirements
Eligible applicants are 1862 and 1890 Universities that have received Land-Grant status and are serving Federally Recognized Tribes.
Application Process
A four-year continuation peer reviewed competitive grant program. Awards amounts average $81,000 per project. Overall program serves 122 American Indian Tribes in 19 states by funding 36 separate Extension offices.
