Program Description

The Family Violence Prevention and Services Program (FVPSA) is available to help victims of domestic abuse and their dependents secure immediate shelter and related assistance. The program is committed to:

  • Providing shelter for victims and children
  • Coordinating statewide improvements within local communities, social service systems, and programming regarding the prevention and intervention of domestic violence through leadership of State Domestic Violence Coalitions and FVPSA State Administrators
  • Increasing public awareness about the prevalence of family violence
  • Supporting local and community-based domestic violence programs

Program Requirements

In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be the victim of domestic violence in need of aid to obtain decent, safe, and/or sanitary housing.
