Illinois’ All Kids program offers health care coverage to children or helps in paying premiums of employer or private health insurance plans. All Kids services are available at no cost or at low cost. Premium and co-payments are determined based on your family income and size. All Kids Share and Premium Level 1 are jointly funded by the state and federal governments. All Kids Rebate and Premium Level 2 are state funded. All Kids Assist is the Medicaid portion of Illinois’ health care programs for children.
In order to qualify for All Kids Share, Premium or Rebate, you must be a resident of Illinois, under 19 years of age, and meet certain insurance requirements.
In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:
|Household Size*||Maximum Income Level (Per Year)|
Depending on your income level, you may have to pay a monthly premium for coverage. Please see this state’s program information for details.
Illinois families can apply for health insurance online, but in some situations it may be better for you to apply at your local Department of Human Services Office (DHS). To apply online, request an application, or download an application, go to the All Kids Applicationpage.
An All Kids Application Agent (AKAA) can also help you apply. To find an AKAA in your area go to the All Kids Agent Search Table page.
To locate the DHS office nearest you go to the DHS Office Locator page.
